Lalbatti Chowk renamed as Veer Bala Tilu Rauteli Chowk-
लालबत्ती चौक का नाम हुआ वीर बाला तीलू रौतेली चौक
Lalbatti Chowk of the city will now be known as Veer Bala Tilu Rauteli Chowk. Mayor Hemlata Negi and former minister Surendra Singh Negi will unveil the plaque for the new naming of this Chowk on Sunday. Veer Bala Tilu Rauteli Vichar Manch President Savar Singh Rawat and Secretary Mehrban Singh Gorla told that the program will be held on December 19 at 2.30 pm at Lalbatti Chowk near Rainka Kotdwar. Presently this chowk is also known as Najibabad Chowk, Lalbatti Chowk, Bharat Chowk and Kanvashram Chowk. The approval to do it officially in the name of Tilu Rauteli Chowk has been given by the Mayor of the Municipal Corporation, Hemlata Negi.uttarakhand-weather-updates

The Meteorological Center has predicted cold wave conditions and frost in many areas on Sunday as well. Due to dense fog in the plains of Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar, the condition of winter is likely to prevail. On Saturday, the day's maximum temperature was recorded at 17.8 degrees Celsius. It was four degrees below normal temperature. At the same time, the minimum temperature recorded at night was 3.8 degrees. It recorded a temperature three degrees below normal.
The operation of buses on routes like Delhi, Punjab and Dehradun was affected due to the cold wave that started with the minimum temperature reaching about five degrees Celsius near Udham Singh Nagar.
