Heavy devastation in Kotdwar, road on National Highway submerged in river

 Heavy rains continue in Uttarakhand. There has been heavy destruction in Kotdwar due to torrential rains since morning. Debris has come up at many places on the Kotdwar-Pauri National Highway. There, at one place the road merged into the Khoh river. With this, after eight days the open highway for heavy vehicles has been closed again.

In the morning, the car was washed away in a swollen gadere (big drain) in Kotdwar Bhabar. During this, the driver saved his life by jumping from the car. It is being told that when the current in the river was strong, people stopped the driver from going ahead, but he did not stop and started crossing the river forcibly. During this, the car was swept far away in the mud and got damaged.
