Danger of flooding Khoh River Don't have fun

                        KOTDWAR -Khoh river. stop people

Issuing a yellow alert regarding rain in Pauri district by the Meteorological Department, it has been told that the area is prone to floods due to heavy rains, but even after this, tourists are picnicking on the banks of Khoh river and having fun in the river.

Anytime the strong current of the river can turn the fun-filled atmosphere of the people into mourning. Unaware of the danger, there is no one to stop these tourists from going to the river. These days tourists are coming towards Kotdwar and Lansdowne due to restrictions on the movement of tourists in Dehradun and Mussoorie. Tourists are having a picnic in Khoh river after visiting Durgadevi at Dugadda, Shri Siddhabali Temple in Kotdwar. These days a large number of tourists are going from Kotdwar Sidhbali to the river in areas like Durgadevi, Dugadda, Fatehpur etc. The Khoh river flows through the mountainous areas. It often rains heavily in the mountainous areas and Kotdwar remains sunny. Due to the meeting of Silgad and Langurgad in Dugadda in the Khoh river, the Khoh river takes a rough form in the rainy season. In such a situation, at any time during the rainy season, Khoh river can come in spate and sway these tourists unaware of the danger. Coat

Instructions will be given to the police, forest and irrigation departments to stop people from entering the Khoh river. Apart from this, Kanungo of Kotdwar will be seated in Dugadda in view of the disaster. All the employees of the said department will be instructed to patrol the banks of Khoh river. Yogesh Mehra, SDM Kotdwar.
