In Kotdwar, the birth anniversary of Lord Shri Krishna was celebrated with great pomp. In which the birth anniversary of Lord Shri Krishna was celebrated with worship from morning till midnight. At some places, Janmashtami was celebrated by worshiping and worshiping.The festival of Shri Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated with great pomp and gaiety in the city and nearby hilly areas. Devotees kept fast till midnight and celebrated the birth anniversary of Lord Shri Krishna at 12 o'clock in the night by seeing the tableaux decorated in various temples. Devotees pray for happiness, peace and prosperity of the family by offering bhog to the deity.

 On Monday evening, all the temples in the city and adjoining area lit up with attractive lights. Tableaus of various forms of God were decorated in all the temples. A large number of devotees had darshan of the tableaux till midnight. On behalf of Shri Geeta Bhawan Utsav Samiti, the Deity of Lord Radha Krishna was decorated in an attractive manner in Gita Bhawan located in Govind Nagar. The tableau of the prisoner was made in the temple, along with the Gaia of Shri Krishna. In the tableau of Corona, Lord Krishna wearing a mask and measures of rescue remained the center of attraction for the audience. Through the tableau, people were made aware of Corona.

In Shri Balaji Mandir Sevak Samiti, Kotdwar, children celebrated the birthday of Lord Krishna by cutting a cake and prasad was distributed. Many tableaux were decorated in the Radha Krishna temple located in Malviya Udyan. Following the Corona guidelines, devotees stood in line and saw God and tableaux. Apart from this, Shri Krishna Janmotsav was celebrated with pomp in Shri Siddhabali Temple, Siddhpeeth Sukhro Devi Temple.

Five AAP workers, including advocate Arvind Verma, arrested for burning DGP's effigy

 

Aam Aadmi Party workers protested against illegal mining and liquor as well as challans being made in helmets, protested from Lalbatti Chowk to Jhanda Chowk against the police officers including the DGP. As soon as AAP workers tried to burn the effigy of the DGP at Jhanda Chowk, the police arrested them 

by snatching the effigy from them. Later, the Pargana Magistrate Court released the five activists on a personal bond. Many workers, including AAP's state spokesperson Advocate Arvind Verma, Rachna Rawat, Harshita, Rajendra Jjedi, Mahitab Singh and Jeevan Singh Jalal, came to Jhanda Chowk in the form of a procession from red beacons on Tuesday. 

The procession was going on with drums. As the activists tried to burn the effigy of the DGP, the police took five prominent activists into custody. 

While registering a case against him under sections of breach of peace, the police produced him in the court of Pargana Magistrate Yogesh Mehra.

 AAP workers' advocate Pravesh Rawat told that the bail petition was filed on behalf of the five workers. The court ordered the release of all on personal bond. AAP leader 

Advocate Arvind Verma said that an attempt has been made on his behalf to draw attention to the problems of the public, which did not go down well with the local police. However, the party was successful in raising its voice.
