3 month old baby stolen from Ludhiana railway station -
A three-month-old baby was stolen from Ludhiana railway station late on Wednesday night. Despite CCTV cameras being installed at various places in the station premises, the GRP and RPF were not even aware of it. When the day broke, the parents raised alarm that their child had been stolen, and there was a commotion in the station premises.
The family, which came from Siwan to Ludhiana by train, had stopped at the station to rest as it was late at night. He had to go to Budhewal Road near Jandiali. Sonam Kumari, the child's mother, said that she had reached Ludhiana from Siwan in Lohit Express late on Wednesday night with her husband Upendra Patel and three-month-old child Aryan.
Due to fatigue during the journey, he went to sleep near the interrogation centre. After feeding Aryan at around 1:30 in the night, she made Aryan sleep under the bench and she herself slept nearby, but when she woke up in the morning, Aryan was not under the bench. The family raised the alarm that the child was missing and tried to search for him in the station premises, but could not find any trace of the child.
After the information, GRP reached the spot and started investigating the case and scanning the CCTV footage, but even after several hours they could not find the child. The GRP started examining the CCTV footage of the place where the family slept at night, but the place was not properly covered in CCTV. In the preliminary investigation, it was suspected that the child might have been picked up by a beggar gang. After the GRP registered a case of kidnapping against an unknown person, the search for the child was going on and he was avoiding giving any information in this matter.
