Women arrested for snatching chains in Kotdwar
On Sunday, a complaint of chain theft was lodged from Siddhbali temple. Taking immediate action, the police registered a case against the thieves. On the instructions of SSP Yashwant Singh Chauhan, a team of police personnel was formed under the leadership of Inspector Vijay Singh and Sub-Inspector Mehrajuddin, in-charge of Kotwali. Three women were identified while removing the chain with the help of CCTV cameras installed in the temple. On Monday, the three women were arrested from Pulinda Tirahe. During interrogation, the accused women identified themselves as Kavita, Gudiya, Pooja, all three residents of Nurpur, Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh. During interrogation, the accused women stole from Siddhbali temple along with their other two companions Panju and Ajay resident of Nurpur Bijnor UP. Panju and Ajay have three stolen chains and a mangalsutra. A case has been registered against the accused women under relevant sections and presented in the court.This is default featured slide 1 title
