Congress started blaming each other for defeat.
Party leaders and workers are unable to digest the defeat in the assembly elections for the second time in a row. As was being anticipated, just two days after the election results, the internal squabble within the party is now coming to the surface. Party leaders have started blaming each other for the defeat. The BJP itself was terrified of anti-incumbency trends.
In such a situation, the Congress also had a golden opportunity to return to power, but the party could not capitalize on this opportunity. In the elections, the party managed to increase the number of seats by increasing its vote percentage, but the door of power could not open for it. Harish Rawat, who is heading the election campaign committee chairman, and state president Ganesh Godiyal have taken the responsibility of this defeat, but the matter is not going to be that much. Leader of Opposition Pritam Singh and all other leaders are now accusing them of mismanagement from election management to distribution of tickets.

After the election results did not come in favor of Congress, now Leader of Opposition Pritam Singh has raised many questions on former CM Harish Rawat without naming him. He said that where is this justice, someone sows the crop, someone else comes to reap. Actually Ranjit Rawat was preparing from Ramnagar seat for the last five years, but his ticket was cut at the last minute and Harish Rawat was declared a contender from this seat. When there was a ruckus after this, Harish was sent to Lalkuan and Ranjit Rawat to Salt. The results are in front of everyone, both the elections are lost.
